Monthly Parking Terms
General
The following terms and conditions form the monthly parking agreement with Parking Corporation of Vancouver/EasyPark (VPC/EasyPark). These terms and conditions are subject to change by VPC/EasyPark without notice. VPC/EasyPark reserves the right to cancel this agreement at any time with one calendar month’s written notice. A calendar month is from the 1st day of the month to the last day of the same month.
Termination
Customers are required to provide one calendar month’s advance written notice to VPC/EasyPark and return all monthly parking identification within 7 days from the final day of this agreement
- after this time any equipment deposits will be forfeit
. Notice given at any time during a month will be effective as of the last day of the following month. The minimum rental period is three (3) months.
Payments
The monthly rental charges are due in advance on or before the first business day of each month. Payments not received by the invoice due date will result in suspension of monthly parking privileges until payment is received. No credit will be given for hourly/daily rates paid while parking privileges are suspended. Customers are responsible to provide current credit card information to VPC/EasyPark, including expiry date or card number changes. Returned cheques or declined credit card payments are subject to a $25.00 handing fee.
Final Month Deposit
A final month deposit will be charged with the initial parking fees. This amount will be held in trust and applied to the final month’s rent once proper written notice of termination is received. All deposits are non interest bearing and any outstanding balance after the application of the deposit will be charged.
Rates
Monthly parking rates are subject to change by VPC/EasyPark with one calendar month’s written notice.
Monthly Parking Identification
A non-refundable fee is charged for monthly parking identification (MP-ID). MP-ID may be in the form of a decal, mirror hanger, access card, transponder or a combination of these forms and remains the property of VPC/EasyPark. Issued MP-ID is only valid for the parking facility designated on the front of this agreement. Valid mirror hanger or decal must be displayed at all times, on the rear view mirror or window with the facility number facing out. Failure to display valid MP-ID in the manner prescribed may result in your vehicle being ticketed or towed at your expense. If any MP-ID is lost, stolen or damaged, it will be replaced upon payment of a non-refundable fee.
Misuse of MP-ID:
Misuse of MP-ID will be considered a breach of this agreement. If the MP-ID is misused, e.g. allowing more than one vehicle to use the facility during the same time period, the account in question will be subject to suspension or termination. In the event of such a breach, VPC/EasyPark may also charge the regular daily rate plus an administration fee in addition to the monthly charges.
Misplaced / Lost MP-ID (Attended Lots):
If you have forgotten or misplaced your monthly access device and pull a daily ticket upon entry, you are required to write your name, license plate, hanger tag number, and phone number on the back of the ticket for proper cancellation. If this information is not provided or invalid, you will be charged the regular daily rate for each cancelled ticket.
Assumption of Liability
Parking charges are for the use of parking space only. VPC/EasyPark is not responsible or liable for any injury, death, property damage, theft or disappearance occurring in, on or about the parking facility to the customer or anyone claiming under or through the customer.
Assignment
The customer cannot assign or transfer this agreement without the prior written consent of VPC/EasyPark. An administration fee of $25.00 will be charged for each subsequent transfer of the monthly parking agreement.
Breach of Agreement
Customers in breach of the terms and conditions of the monthly parking agreement may result in any or all of the following actions: suspension of parking privileges; termination of the monthly parking agreement without notice; and/or towing of vehicle at the customer’s expense.
Change in Start Date/Cancelled Applications/Extension of Contract
Once a monthly parking agreement has been submitted to VPC/EasyPark, customers will be charged a $25.00 administration fee if they decide to cancel the application or for each subsequent extension of the start date. A $25.00 administration fee will also apply to customers who have submitted written cancellation notice to VPC/EasyPark but subsequently decide to extend the monthly parking agreement.
Other Conditions
If the customer’s normal location is not available for any reason, VPC/EasyPark reserves the right to relocate the customer to another VPC/EasyPark location (if available), or to refuse parking (if another VPC/EasyPark location is not available), on a temporary basis. Customers are subject to the terms and conditions displayed on all signs in the parking facility. Assignment and/or location of all rented parking spaces are at the discretion of VPC/EasyPark.
